Happy Art for your Home and work
Artist Statement
Practicing Wholeness.
Beth Lenco is a Nova Scotian painter and painting instructor living on the South Shore. Bethās paintings are intuitive, relatable, and full of colour, warmth, and joy. She finds delight and meaning in every day things around the home and in the landscapes of Nova Scotia. Home, and belonging are large themes in her art where she works with her intuitive and spiritual heart to make paintings that give the viewer a sense of embodied placement on the earth. Bethās work has been called Fauvist, inspiring, playful, uplifting, and calming. Whether the piece is abstract, still life, or landscape, each painting becomes a doorway into the realms of hope and meaning weaving the elements of painting and life into a cohesive whole. Beth brings her life wisdom and experience into her art and her classes by not striving for any kind of elusive perfection, but for connection and understanding.
āWhen we connect with our subject we find a shared experience and a common ground, we feel less isolated and more a part of all of life. We feel human! We were born with this gift of using tools and mark making, itās extraordinary really.ā The basics of drawing and mark making will never grow old to me, it helps me connect with my living environment daily; itās how I stay in alignment with this planet.ā
